Sunny September on the South Coast

The weather forecast for September is set to be warm and sunny so there is still time to enjoy the beauty of the south coast.

The Seven Sisters is a great place to start. Forming part of a magnificent stretch of coastline between Seaford and Eastbourne, including Beachy Head.

Beachy Head Countryside Centre is situated at Beachy Head, a renowned beauty spot with incredible views. The Countryside Centre has an excellent gift shop, Downland Experience giving information about the geology, natural and general history of Beachy Head.

A perfect way to see the coast is to walk the South Downs Way National Trail. The easier way is 'In Stages'. The trail which never climbs above a comfortable 800 feet, yet gives amazing views of over 30 miles in all directions.

Glebe Cottage in East Dean

EHC are delighted to announce Glebe Cottage has been added to our self catering properties in Sussex. Glebe Cottage dates back to the 16th century and is steeped in history. Situated in an iconic location on the Green in East Dean - this must be one of the finest locations in the whole of Sussex.  The cottage reputedly had tunnels running from its basement to the Tiger Inn and the beach at Birling gap and these were used by smugglers. Today there are no tunnels but the Tiger Inn is across the Green and the beach at Birling Gap is a short walk. The cottage has four bedrooms, a kingsized, twin and two singles and can accommodate up to 6 guests. It is very well equipped and has two living rooms, kitchen and delightful terraced garden.
